The Schwarzwald Inn Gallery of Fame: the one and only "Rockin'" Harry Hirsch

Posted a "Top 100" single in 1963 with "Work With Me, Sylvia" b/w "Do the Slip-Slide". Later formed one of Phlly's earliest and best "psychedelic" bands "The Black Holes" (perhaps their best song was "Trippin' at Harold Johnson's", a 45 platter on the Lawn label -- b/w "Her Name Was No One" -- an almost mint copy of which recently sold on eBay for $27.95.)

Passed away in 1966 at the age of 25 when he and his Vincent Black Shadow somehow flew off the Betsey Ross Bridge. His body was never found.

Betsy Ross Bridge opened in 1976. Wrong bridge, or wrong date? :^)
